Amb. Grzegorz Dziemidowicz

Diplomat, Orientalist, Egyptologist, archaeologist, and journalist. A graduate in Egyptology from the Oriental Institute and the Postgraduate School of Journalism at the University of Warsaw. In the 1960s, he participated in Polish archaeological missions to Egypt and Sudan, and subsequently worked for over two decades as a columnist and editor—associated, among others, with Polish Radio and Polish Television (TVP), where he headed the foreign editorial desk of the Wiadomości news program.

From 1991 to 1994, he served as Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Director of the Minister’s Cabinet. During his diplomatic career, he held the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland in Cairo, accredited to Sudan (1994–1999), and Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Greece (2001–2005). He also headed the Information System Department at the MFA, and from 2006 to 2007 led the MFA’s Diplomatic Academy.

As an academic lecturer at Collegium Civitas and an expert in international relations, he specializes in Middle Eastern and Arab world affairs, preventive diplomacy, and diplomatic protocol.
