Amb. Paweł Dobrowolski, PhD, Associate Professor (dr hab.)

Diplomat, historian, and academic lecturer. In the 1990s, he served as Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Scotland (1990–1995), and in subsequent years headed Polish diplomatic missions as Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Canada (2000–2004) and Cyprus (2009–2013). At the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he held key leadership positions—serving, among others, as Deputy Director of the Minister’s Cabinet and Secretariat, Deputy Director of the Department of the Americas, and Director of the Information System Department, as well as serving twice as Spokesperson for the MFA (1995–2000 and 2005–2006).

He combines extensive diplomatic experience with an academic and teaching background: he was a fellow of the John Paul II Foundation in Rome and the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme in Paris, and also lectured at the Summer School of Polish Language and Culture of the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL).

He is the author of numerous publications in the fields of history and international relations, as well as an esteemed lecturer at Civitas University.
