Davit Karapetyan

A graduate of the Bachelor’s degree programme in International Relations, with a specialization in Asian and Oriental Studies, at Civitas University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Relations, specializing in Business and Cooperation with Asia.

Professionally, he specializes in procedures related to the legalization of residence and employment of foreign nationals in Poland. He assists foreigners with preparing and completing the required documentation, handling administrative proceedings, and navigating procedures related to legal residence and employment in Poland.

He also serves as a Junior Project Manager at the Institute for Security and Development of International Relations (BiRM), where he is involved in project implementation and focuses on Poland’s cooperation with Central Asian countries, particularly in the political, economic, and trade spheres. His interests include the development of Poland’s relations with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other countries in the region. He is also a member of the Central Asia and South Caucasus Observatory at the Center for Asian Economy at Civitas University.

His research interests focus primarily on Central Asia, with particular emphasis on political and economic transformations and the region’s relations with Russia, China, and the United States. He pays particular attention to changes in Russia’s position in Central Asia following its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, their impact on Kazakhstan’s political and economic relations, and the diversification of international cooperation pursued by countries across the region.
